Instructor Spotlight: Meet Sarah Chen, Apex's New Color Specialist

Apex Beauty Academy is thrilled to introduce our newest faculty member: Sarah Chen, who joins us as Lead Color Instructor after 12 years behind the chair at some of the Triangle's most respected salons.

Sarah holds dual certifications in Balayage and Color Correction from both Wella Professionals and Redken, and has been recognized twice with the Wella Color Award for her signature technique blending Asian hair textures with contemporary Western color trends.

Sarah's Teaching Philosophy

"Color is chemistry and art in equal measure. I want students to understand both the science and the soul of what they're doing. When a client sits in your chair and loves what they see in the mirror — that's everything."

In addition to her classroom responsibilities, Sarah will lead a new Color Correction Masterclass open to advanced students and working professionals. Dates will be announced in March.
